My name is Joe Alsheimer, and I’m the owner, operator, and founder of A Cape Cod Carpenter LLC. With over 20 years of experience in carpentry, I’ve successfully completed a wide range of major projects. I take pride in my work and believe that a quality result always follows hard work and dedication. As Steve Jobs once said, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
My passion for carpentry began in high school while attending Plymouth South High School’s technical program. After graduation, I immediately began working for a home-building company for two years. I later joined the 624 Carpenters Union, where I honed many of the skills I still use today. During that time, I also attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston through the Union, studying project management.
Following my time in the Union, I specialized in kitchen installations across Massachusetts, further sharpening my carpentry skills—particularly in precision fitting and interpreting architectural drawings. Later, I had the unique opportunity to join the Film Studio Union and work on movie set construction. Some of the films I contributed to include Grown Ups 2, That’s My Boy, R.I.P.D., and The Judge.
After my wife and I welcomed our two amazing children, I chose to stay closer to home and launched A Cape Cod Carpenter LLC. Based in Plymouth and proudly serving Barnstable County, Plymouth County, and surrounding areas, I enjoy all that New England has to offer—whether it’s hiking, heading to the beach, listening to classic rock, or spending quality time with my family.
At A Cape Cod Carpenter LLC, I am committed to delivering expert, high-quality, professional, and clean work. I take the time to ensure your vision is brought to life with care and precision, on schedule and to your satisfaction. I look forward to helping you improve and care for your home.
